Boeing Starliner Docks with International Space Station

Starliner Successfully Launched, Docked, and Landed

Astronauts Barry "Butch" Wilmore and Sunita "Suni" Williams Aboard

The Boeing Starliner has successfully docked with the International Space Station (ISS) as part of a mission to test the spacecraft's ability to transport crew and cargo to and from low-Earth orbit. The Starliner, a reusable spacecraft, launched on May 19, 2022, with veteran astronauts Barry "Butch" Wilmore and Sunita "Suni" Williams aboard.

After a successful launch, the Starliner entered orbit around Earth and performed a series of maneuvers to prepare for docking with the ISS. On May 25, 2022, the Starliner successfully docked with the ISS, becoming the first American spacecraft to dock with the station since 2011.

The Starliner will remain docked with the ISS for several days, during which time Wilmore and Williams will conduct a series of tests and experiments. The spacecraft is scheduled to undock from the ISS and return to Earth on May 29, 2022.

The successful launch, docking, and landing of the Starliner is a significant milestone for Boeing and NASA. The spacecraft is expected to play a key role in future human spaceflight missions, including missions to the Moon and Mars.
